Nest & Nook Living LLC ("Nest & Nook," "we," "us") operates nestandnookliving.com. This page explains, in plain English, what information we collect when you use our site and how we handle it.
What we collect
- Booking requests: when you submit a booking request, we receive the name, email address, phone number (optional), stay dates, party size, and unit you provide.
- Contact messages: when you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, and message.
- Guest reviews: if you leave a review after your stay, we receive your star rating, your review text, and the name you choose to display. We link it to your booking so we can confirm the review came from someone who actually stayed.
- Payments: when you pay for a booking, your card is processed by Stripe. Stripe returns to us the billing name and address, the amount, and a payment reference — never your full card number.
We don't require accounts. Online payments happen on Stripe's own secure pages, so we never see or store your full card details. We keep the billing information Stripe returns to us with your reservation for tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention purposes.
How we use it
Only to run our rental business: responding to your request, confirming availability and pricing, and communicating with you about your stay. We do not sell your information, and we won't add you to marketing lists you didn't ask for.
Reviews are the one thing we publish. If we approve your review, the display name you chose, your rating, your review text, and your checkout date appear publicly on this site. Your real name, email address, and booking details are never published — they stay in our records so we can verify the review is genuine. Every review is reviewed by us before it appears anywhere, and you can ask us to remove yours at any time.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising pixels, or other trackers. When you proceed to payment you are taken to Stripe's checkout pages, which set their own cookies as needed to process the payment securely — that happens on Stripe's domain under Stripe's privacy policy, not ours.
Service providers
A few third parties help us operate the site, and each may process limited data in doing so:
- Stripe processes payments. When you pay, your card details go directly to Stripe; Stripe returns a payment confirmation and your billing name and address to us. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- FormSubmit delivers your form submissions to our email inbox.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and, like most hosts, may temporarily log IP addresses for security and performance.
- Google Fonts serves this site's typefaces; your browser's request for those font files goes to Google's servers.
How long we keep it
Booking and contact emails are kept for as long as needed to manage your stay, meet our legal and tax obligations, and maintain business records.
Your choices
Want to know what we have about you, or want it deleted? Email info@nestandnookliving.com and we'll take care of it.
Children
Our site and services are not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change — for example, if we add analytics or advertising pixels — we'll update this page and the date at the top.
